Stillwater - Carol Beamguard Broaddus, 90, 1011 Stanley, Stillwater, died Friday at Stillwater Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday at Strode Chapel with Dr. William Inglish officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.

She was born in Reserve, Kan., to Arthur H. and Bertha Reasnor Beamguard. She married W. B. (Bill) Broaddus on Sept. 9, 1923, in Oklahoma City. She moved to Oklahoma with her parents and received her education in Guthrie and Edmond, residing in Stillwater since 1947.

She served as deaconess, president and treasurer of Christian Women's Fellowship and teacher in the Junior Department and the Greeters Bible Class of First Christian Church; past matron, president and secretary of Stillwater Chapter 54 Order of Eastern Star; past Worthy High Priestess of Noel 17 White Shrine of Jerusalem; past Royal Matron of Stillwater Court 32, Order of the Amaranth; past president and recorder of Stillwater Assembly 124 Social Order of the Beauccant; President of American Legion Auxiliary 129 and was a Gold Star Mother.

She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Howard killed during World War II, sister, Margaret Castle; two brothers, Howard and Ralph Beamguard; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include sons, W. B. Broaddus of Mannford, Joe B. and Guy W. Broaddus of Sapulpa; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home of Carol and David LeBaron, 922 S. Knoblock.
