Lonnie Burgan, 85
Rites October 28

Funeral services were held here for Lonnie B. Burgan Friday October 28 at the Assembly of God Church at 2 pm.

Mr. Burgan, a long time resident of Eufaula and McIntosh County, was a retired cafe operator here. He died in a Sapulpa hospital Wednesday, October 26, at the age of 85 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie of the home in Eufaula; one son, Elus Jackson of Kiefer; and four daughters, Lizzie Lee of Sapulpa, Gertrude Leffler of Keefer, Lura Powers, and Gracie Fay, both of Eufaula.

Rev. A. B. Urquhart officiated at the service, assisted by Rev. Harold Stockton, pastor of the church. Burial was in the Mellettee (sic) Cemetery, under the direction of Kelley Funeral Home.

[His give name was Alonzo, but used Lon or Lonnie, he had lived in the Eufaula area since before 1900]
