Louis E. Burgess, 80, died Tuesday at a Las Vegas care center. 

He was born Oct 12, 1919, in Mounds, Okla. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired supply controller for the Department of Defense and a 14-year resident of Las Vegas. 

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy of Las Vegas and Larry of Hemet, Calif.; daughters, Bree Burgess-Rosen of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Carolyn Anderson of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; brother, Donald of Mounds; sister, Margaret Grimes of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
