Charles Lee Burke and Opal Paris Cheesman
Opal Cheesman Burke, 89, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at the Cushing Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be Thursday from 8 am until 8 pm and Friday from 8 am until noon at Davis Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Friday at 1 pm at Fairlawn Cemetery. Dr. Lonny Lee, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will preside.
Davis Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.
She was born Feb 14, 1912, in Kellyville to Delbert and Allie Glenn Cheesman.
She was educated in Kellyville and Cushing schools.
On May 13, 1932, she married Charles Burke in Cushing. The couple was married for more than 64 years and enjoyed traveling and going everywhere together before his death Dec 1, 1996.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Cheesman, and a sister, Marie Snyder.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Ryan and her husband, John, of Stillwater; one son, Charles Burke and his wife, Betty, of Stigler; six grandchildren, Timothy Charles Burke, Bobby Lynn Burke, Debbie Jenkins, Jan Weisenfel, Stephen Brett Ryan and Lance Alan Ryan; nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Charles Lee Burke was born April 09, 1911 in Perry Oklahoma and is the son Stephen A. Burke (Douglas) and Alwilda Webb (Allie). Opal Paris Cheesman was born
February the 14th 1912 in Kellyville Oklahoma and is the daughter of Delbert Ray Cheesman (Dale) and Rachel Elvara Glenn (Allie). Charles and Opal were married May 13, 1932 Payne County, Cushing, Oklahoma. They had two children Charles Leon and Deloris Jean Burke. Charles died December 01, 1996 and Opal died March 20, 2001. They are buried beside each other in the Fairlawn
Cemetery located in Cushing Oklahoma.
