Burke Services Here Tomorrow At Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Judge George L. Burke, age 81, prominent attorney here for many years, who died Monday night will be held tomorrow morning at the Lewis and Landrith Chapel at 10 o’clock. Initial plans to hold home services have been changed.

The body of Judge Burke will be in state at the funeral chapel tonight from 7 until 9 o’clock.

Dr. P. J. Conkwright will conduct the funeral services and Ralph Robertson will pay a brief tribute at Judge Burke’s bier. Internment will be made in the South Heights Cemetery.

Judge Burke came to this city in 1910. He was largely responsible for the managerial form of city government under which Sapulpa operates at the present. He was a member of the first group of city commissioners. He has been active in civic and social affairs of the city for many years and retired from professional activities a few years ago because of his health.

He is survived by his widow Varina W. Burke.

Active pall bearers for the services will include R. R. Wallace, Dan Odell, Harold Dodd, C. J. Davenport, Claude Masters and S. M. Cunningham. Members of the local bar association and officers of the Oakhurst County club, among others will be honorary pall bearers.
