GORDON BURNS
TULSA — Gordon A. Burns, 64, Tulsa, died Thursday at Muskogee Veterans’
Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lawnwood Free Will Baptist Church with the
Rev. Mike Kirby officiating.
Burial will be at Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs, under the direction of
Smith Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by the Sapulpa VFW.
Mr. Burns was born July 1, 1925, in Caddo. A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II,
he worked as a foreman for Oil Field Products and was a former employee of
Commander Mills in Sand Springs.
He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and lived in this area 50 years.
Survivors include wife Leona; mother Alta Burns of Tulsa; sons Jim Burns and
Gordon Eugene burns, both of Tulsa; daughters Donna Robins of Jenks and Linda
Burns of Sand Springs; sister Juanita Herd of Tulsa; 11 grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Ronnie Campbell, Wesley Vann, Leon Burns, Charles Jackson,
Russell Simpson, Gordon Burns, Shawn Dodson and Tommy Austin.
