Nancy Burton, 90, of Stillwater Nursing Home, died Saturday at Stillwater.
Family visitation and prayer service will be held today from 6:30 to 8 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Stillwater.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Tuesday, at South Heights with Rev. Robert Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at South Heights
Cemetery.
She was born in Pulaski County, Missouri on July 29, 1902, to William Jackson and Martha J. (Graves) Atterberry. She attended schools in Pulaski County, Missouri, and moved to Yale in 1920. She was married to Phillip R. Burton. After her marriage, the couple resided in Sapulpa their entire married life. From their activities in the church and taking cakes and other baked goods to shut-ins, the Burtons were known as the "Cakemakers". She was a member of the First Church of God in Sapulpa and moved to Stillwater in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Maxine Lawhorn of Stillwater and Irene Moser of Ponca City; brothers, Floyd Atterberry, William Atterberry, Leonard Atterberry and Dale Atterberry, all of Waynesville, Mo., and Jessie Atterberry of Illinois; sisters, Grace Roam, Betty Hopkins and Rosalee Mortensen, all of Waynesville, Mo., and Goldie Dawson of Illinois; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
