O. F. "Slim" Cain, 80, Bristow, died Tuesday at Rainbow Health Care Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Bateman and Rev. Tom Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens under the direction of Schmacher Funeral Home of Bristow.

He was born January 7, 1912, in Camp, Arkansas. He was employed as an oil field worker and rancher. He served in the United States Army during World War II. A longtime resident of the Bristow and Slick area, he was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow. As a hobby he enjoyed woodworking.

His wife Dolly, preceded him in death in 1985 after 50 years of marriage.

Survivors include sons, Charles of Dewey and Larry of Jenks; daughter, Judi Dotson of Depew; sister Bertie Phillips of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
