Thomas Edward Carnahan, 66, 1948 S. Independence, Sapulpa, died today at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, at Smith Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Charles Buchanan officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Oct 12, 1925, in Depew. A Sapulpa resident, since 1959, he moved from Drumright. He married Mary Sue Magress on June 23, 1945. Carnahan was a retired well service operator, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a Baptist, a member of the Masonic Lodge where he was a Second Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Akdar Shrine, Radiant Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Order of the Rainbow for Girls. He served as a Rainbow Dad, past State Rainbow Dad, a former Scout Leader, baseball and soccer coach.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Thomas Michael Carnahan of Port Lavaca, Texas; daughters, Carol Sue Kohler and Emily Gail Johnson of Sapulpa, Terri Ellen Fletcher of Tulsa; sister Patricia McNutt of Sapulpa; and eight grandsons.

Funeral services for Thomas Edward Carnahan were held at 2 pm today at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Buchanan officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Masonic rites were given.

Serving as casket bearers were Bergen Young, Gene Pearce, Mitch Magness, Dave Magness, Dan Atkinson, Terry Strombeck, Jumane Guess an Clyde Mooney.

 Honorary bearers were Dr. Doug Vaughn, Charles Williams, Vern Hughes, Bill Eubanks, Joe Blair, Pete Belk, Delious Parker, Chester Guest, Charles McNutt, the Mason and the Shriners.

 Mr. Carnahan died Monday.
