Mrs. Catlett Of Kellyville Dies Sunday
Mrs. Katharine L. Catlett, 74, member of a well-known Kellyville
family, died at Curry Hospital early Sunday morning.
She was the wife of R. K. (Dick) Catlett, independent oil operator.
Mrs. Catlett was born March 28, 1895 at Koscuisko, Miss., and had
lived in Kellyville since 1926. She did post graduate work at Agnes
Scott College, Decatur, Ga., and was a graduate of Columbia University
with a master's degree in liberal arts. She was a member of Phi Beta
Kappa sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters
of the Confederacy and of the Presbyterian church in Columbus, Miss.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, John A. Catlett,
Kellyville and a brother, Edward C. Lindawood, Jackson, Miss.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral chapel with
a nephew of Mrs. Catlett's, the Rev. Samuel J. Lindawood, Phoenix,
Ariz., officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill mausoleum, Tulsa.
Pallbearers will be R. Brooke Thrift, Bill Wilson, Lon Jackson, Jr.,
W. Sam Farler, John H. Pryce, G. B. Chuch Coryell. Honorary pallbearers
will be H. C. Carmichael, R. W. Ragsdale, William C. Powell, J. C.
Williams, Richard Carpenter and Frank Bruce.
