HAROLD CHAMBERS

TAHLEQUAH — Former Sapulpan Harold Dean Chambers, 59, of Tahlequah, died Friday in Tahlequah.

There will be no public viewing or funeral services, at Mr. Chambers request. Arrangements are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

He was born on July 17, 1933, in Sapulpa to Elvis E. and Alta May Porter Chambers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict before being honorably discharged in 1954. Chambers married Grace Lee Wilson on June 27, 1956. A former employee of Pepsi Cola Company where he serviced pop machines, he was also employed by Mahon Leasing and Arkhola Ready Mix.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frederick and Forrest Ray and his daughter, Janet Carol.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; daughters, Deanie Hensley of LaFollette, Tenn., and Della May Taylor; son, Harold Wayne Chambers of Tahlequah; brothers, Avery Chambers of Sapulpa; Ralph Chamber of Park Hill, Donald Chambers and Royce Chambers, both of Willing.
