Donald Ray Chandler, 58, of rural Sapulpa, died Monday at Hillcrest Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday at First Assembly of God, Sapulpa, with the Rev. Luis Torres officiating.

A military burial service will be held at 3 pm Thursday at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Honorary casketbearers will be J.D. Chandler, Charles Houghland, Gary Lloyd Chandler, J. B. Chandler, Billy Chandler and Darrell Chandler.

He was born Oct 14, 1934, in Hicks, Ark., to M. L. and Hazel F. Wilkerson Chandler, He was self-employed as a drywall contractor. He lived in Sapulpa after moving from Hammon, Okla., five years ago.

Chandler married Aneata Houghland Chandler on Sep 1, 1967, in Fayetteville, He was affiliated with the Baptist church.

Survivors include wife, Aneata; mother Hazel Francis Chandler of Fayetteville; children Donald Ray Chandler II of Sapulpa, Steven Clyde Valentine of Houston, Larry Don Evans of Manchester, Mo., Sandri Francis Chandler of Fullerton, Calif., Donna Aneata Ufer and Rhonda Sue Hostetler, both of Sapulpa and Nelda Jean Crayton of Tulsa; brothers Billy W. Chandler of Winslow, Ark., Gary Lloyd Chandler of Las Vegas, Nev.,J.B. Chandler of Fayetteville,Ark., sisters Anna Bell Stanberry of Woodlawn, Calif., and Dela LaVerne Cooper of Fayetteville, Ark., 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday.

The family will headquarter at the Chandler residence outside Sapulpa.

Chandler, a resident of Sapulpa for five years, died Monday in Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.
