Wm. K. Chapman Taken By Death

Heart Trouble Is Fatal To Pioneer Oklahoman; To Be Buried In Edmond

William K. Chapman, aged 79 years, died at 10:30 last night at his home at 110 ½ East Dewey, after an illness of four weeks with a heart aliment.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, conducted by the pastor, Dr. P. J. Conkwright. The body will be taken to Edmond for burial under the direction of Lewis and Landrith Funeral Home.

Mr. Chapman had been a resident of Sapulpa many years and was a pioneer Oklahoman. For a long period he was associated with the late W. N. Rucker as manager of a number of his stores. In that capacity he came to Sapulpa for a long time and had charge of the store here. Of late years owing to ill health and advanced age he has been retired. He has long belonged to the First Baptist Church and was an active member of the Progressive Men's Bible class of that Sunday school.

He is survived by his widow and was the last of a family of five children. Mrs. B. P. Beeson of this city is his sister-in-law.

Pallbearers for the funeral, will be Dr. G. A. Farris, Lon McKenzie, W. B. Mathis, J. A. Boyd, Frank Smith and John W. Young.
