Mrs. T. M. “Goldie” Childers, 93 of Sapulpa died Wednesday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. 

Services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday at First Christian Church with Russell Casey officiating. 

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Billings, Okla, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. 

She was born March 9, 1894, in Noble Co. Okla. She had lived in Creek Co. since 1947 and in Sapulpa since 1960. 

Mrs. Childers was a member of First Christian Church, Sapulpa Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Kiefer chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Goodwill Club. 

She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and had served as president of Women’s Democratic Council of Oklahoma twice. She was the organizer and president of the Jefferson Bryan Club. 

Mrs. Childers worked in real estate 15 years and also served as assistant superintendent at the Whitaker State Home, Pryor. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, T. M., who died Aug. 29, 1970. 

Survivors include sons, Bill of Sapulpa and Thurman of Alvin, Texas; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
