WILBERT COLEMAN

BRISTOW — Wilbert Coleman, 78, of Bristow died Monday in Bristow.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Great Mount Herman Baptist Church, Bristow.

Burial will be in Newby Cemetery, Newby, Okla., under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home, Bristow.

Mr. Coleman was born Oct. 6, 1910, in Alabama.

He attended school in Stroud and married Pecola Jackson in Bristow in 1956. He had lived in Bristow since his marriage.

Mr. Coleman was a retired farmer.

Survivors include wife Pecola; son Wilbert Coleman Jr. of Omaha, Neb.; daughter Darlene Coleman of Oklahoma City; step-sons Willie and Harlan Dennis, both of Compton, Cal., Walter Dennis of Bristow, Larnell Dennis of Oklahoma City, Azell Jackson of San Francisco, and Robert Jackson of McAlester; step-daughter Lillie M. Thomas of Oklahoma City; brothers O. T. and Rafford Coleman both of Wasco, Calif.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
