Updated: 06 Sep 2009 COLLINS, ArthusaSapulpa Herald, Creek Co. OK August 5, 1943 Mrs. J. A. Fulp's Mother, Age 87, Taken By Death Mrs. Arthusa Collins, 87, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Fulp, this morning at 8 o'clock. She had been bedfast since October because of her heart. Mrs. Collins came to Kellyville from Kansas in 1901. In 1907 she came to Sapulpa to live with her daughter. She was proceeded in death by her husband, W. F. Collins, in 1913. He was a well-known farmer and stockman around here and was also active in the political life. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Fulp, and one son, Cecil Collins, Newkirk. Her sister, Mrs. Roderick Gordon, also survives, as do four grandsons and two great grand sons. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Methodist Church, with Rev. Oscar J. Evanson officiating. Burial will be beside her husband in the Sapulpa Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Fred Patrick, Claude Davenport, Claude Masters, Guy Willibey, John Doremus and Sam Allen, active; D. A. McDougal, A. P. Crawford, W. B. Key, Streeter Speakman, J. A. Harrison, O. T. Hutt, Huber Hughes, Ray Weakley and M. L. Matson, honorary.
