ENJOYED WEDDED LIFE THREE DAYS
Young Kellyville Bride Called By Death Shortly After Marriage Ceremony
After two days of married life, J. C. Conrad , 24 years old, of
Kellyville, is a widower.
On Dec. 5, 1915, Conrad was united in marriage to Miss
Ida James, 16 years old, also of Kellyville. The marriage took place at
the home of the bride who lived with her father, the Rev. E. S. James,
(should have been S. G. James) of Kellyville. The Rev. J. P. Faith of
Bristow, officiated.
Three days later, Tuesday Dec 8, the Rev. Faith received
a telephone message from Kellyville, in which he was informed that he
was wanted to preach the funeral of the young bride. The funeral was to
have been held at 4 o'clock Wednesday.
The young people had joined the church only a few days
before the death at a revival meeting conducted by Rev. Faith at Sunrise
School house. Tuberculosis is believed to have been the cause of death.
