Updated: 06 Sep 2009 COOPER, John HenrySapulpa Herald, Creek Co. OK 10-06-1994 John Henry Cooper, 63, Bristow, died Monday, Oct 3, 1994 in Bristow. Graveside rites will be 1 pm Friday at Oakhill Cemetery in Bristow with Bill Conkling officiating. Arrangements are through Schumacher Funeral Home. He was born Dec 11, 1930 in Okmulgee County, and lived in Bristow the majority of his life. He served with the US Marines and is a veteran of the Korean War. He married Claudette Marie BRATTON on Oct 18, 1958 in Redwood City, Calif. He was a truck driver with McAdams and Creeko Mill and retired in 1990. He also worked at Bartlett Collins as a security guard for two years. He attended Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Claudette Cooper of the home; his step-mother, Margaret Nadine Cooper of Joplin, MO; two sons, Samuel Benjamin Cooper of Muskogee and Gregory Allen Cooper of Beggs; a daughter Melody Annette PULLEY of Bristow; a brother, Steven Clay Cooper of Carl Junction, MO; four sisters, Diana Ruth TYLER of Vallejo, Calif; Darlene DANIELS of North Fork, Calif; Gayle FREER and Kathleen HOLT, both of Joplin and nine grandchildren.
