Carl Loyd Cordell, 73, 12903 W. 81st St. South, died Sunday, Sep 17 1995 at
Hillcrest Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Bristow
City Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Varnell officiating, directed by Owen
Funeral Home.
He was born Sep 4, 1922 in Bristow to Joseph and Dovie Gregory Cordell.
He married Ethel Morgan on Jul 5, 1942 in Wagoner.
He served in the Army during World War II. He attend the Word of Life Church in
Sand Springs. He retired from Dresser Industries in 1983 as a drilling fluids
engineer. He moved to Sapulpa from Oilton a year ago.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, of the home; two sons, Loyd Cordell, Tulsa
and Terry Cordell, Truckee, CA; a daughter, Janice THOMPSON, Skellytown, TX;
three brothers, George Cordell and Gene Cordell, both of Enid and Delbert
Cordell, Elkhart, IN; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Cordell, in 1975.
The family will headquarter the day of the service at the Cordell home north of
Sapulpa. Owen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
