John Cornelius, 93, of Bristow, died Tuesday at Rainbow Health Care Center in Bristow.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at Bristow Free Holiness Church.

Burial will follow at Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home of Bristow.

He was born May 9, 1899, in Laurel County, Ky. He married Anna Ford on Oct 30, 1922, in Drumright. She preceded him in death on Feb 9, 1988. Cornelius was a member of Bristow Free Holiness Church. He was a retired oilfield worker and farmer.

Survivors include his sons, N.L. (Curly) Cornelius of Bristow, E.T. Cornelius of Woodward, and Darrel Cornelius of Lone Oak, Texas; daughters, Opal Munn of Warner and Helen Inman of Dewar; 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 14s great-great-grandchildren.
