Mrs. Virginia H. Cosby, 74, Tulsa, died Monday at her home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Ed Yarger officiating.

Committal service will be 2 p.m. in Olympus Cemetery, Grove, Okla.

She was born Oct 12, 1915, in Grove and was a graduate of Grove High School.

Mrs. Cosby was employed as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 29 years before retiring in 1981. She moved to Tulsa from Grove 36 years ago.

She married Merle F. Cosby on Sept. 29, 1934, in Columbus, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981, and by one grandson.

Mrs. Cosby was a member of the Pioneers Club of SWB.

Survivors include daughter Jane E. of El Sobrante, Calif.; son Lee M. of Sapulpa; sisters Lon Dee Erick and Sue Kerr of San Pablo, Calif., and Mary Bryant of Vallejo, Calif.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
