BESSIE CRUTCHFIELD

Bessie Clyde Crutchfield, 78, 416 N. Elizabeth, died Friday at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Rev. John Bartels officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Jay Crutchfield, Larry Crutchfield, Edward Crutchfield, Mike Crutchfield, Duane Harwood and Bill Trail.

She was a retired nurses aide from Bartlett Memorial Medical Center and a member of the Order of Amaranth, The White Shrine, and a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Lodge.

Mrs. Crutchfield married the late Athel Crutchfield Oct 3, 1935, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Survivors include sons Bill C. Crutchfield of Sapulpa, Boyd D. Crutchfield of Dallas, Texas, Jim Pat Crutchfield of Westbrook, Maine; daughters Leta Bess Thompson of Cushing, Kay Harwood of Sapulpa; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the Bill Crutchfield home, 806 S. Bixby.

Mrs. Crutchfield was a nurses aide at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center and a member of Amaranth, White Shrine, a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Lodge and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxilliary. She lived in Sapulpa since 1942, moving here from the Poteau area. She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church.

The family will headquarter at the Crutchfield residence in Sapulpa.
