GLENPOOL - Bryan William Damron, 10, of Glenpool, died Saturday at Saint John Medical Center from injuries sustained in a Boy Scout camping accident.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church, Glenpool, with the Rev. Bob DeBolt officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Damron was born April 11, 1983, in Corona, Calif., and moved to Glenpool three years ago. He was a fourth grader at Glenpool Elementary, where he was a straight-A student. He was a Webelos Scout in Pack 188 and had planned to become an Eagle Scout. He hoped to become a meteorologist.

Survivors include parents Fred and Susan Damron of Glenpool; sisters Crystal Elaine and Rebeka Ann Damron of the home; and grandparents Wayne and Dortha Lea Damron of Riverside, Calif., and Robert and Ernestine Cossey of Arvin, Calif.

Funeral services for Bryan William Damron were held at 2 pm today at Southside Baptist Church, in Jenks, with Rev. Bob DeBolt officiating.

Burial followed at South Heights Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Jeff White, Richard Nuttal, Tim Fox, Dave Curbello, Mike Gill and Bill Fountain.

Honorary bearers were Mike McCall and Richard Goforth.
