SERVICES HELD FOR ANNIE MELTON DAY

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church of Depew, Monday for Mrs. Annie Melton Day, who died at her home there May 26th, with Rev Oscar L. Gough officiating.

Mrs. Day was born at Melborne, Arkansas, August 3, 1894. She came to Oklahoma with her parents in 1907 and resided on a farm two miles east of Chandler until 1918 when she moved to Depew.

On November 1, 1912, she was united in marriage to Oliver Day and to this union were born seven children. Day preceded his wife in death in 1927.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Mildred SMITH, Maderia, Cal., Ruth Day, Oklahoma City and Helen Day of the home address; two sons, Glen R. Day, Tulsa, and Earl W. Day, who is serving with the United States coast guard somewhere in the South Pacific; one granddaughter, Linda Sue SMITH; her mother, Mrs. Grace MELTON, Depew; three sisters: Mrs. Harry GRAY, Stillwater; Mrs. Willie BENCH and Miss Naomi MELTON, Depew; and three brothers: Lawerence MELTON, Manford, and Ted and Henry of Depew.

Burial was in New Zion cemetery, east of Chandler.
