David Wayne DeJear, 44, a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Bristow, Oklahoma died on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 in Oklahoma City. He was born on January 5, 1957 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the son of Marshall and Irene (Ross) DeJear. 

He grew up in rural Bristow and attended school in Slick, Oklahoma and graduated from Bristow High School, Class of 1975. He then attended Central State University and received his degree from Langston University. He was an independant sales representative for ACN and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Praternity, Inc. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic in Oklahoma City.

Family members include his parents, Marshall and Irene DeJear, Bristow, OK; his step-children, Ashley and Kristine, both of Oklahoma City, OK; his brothers, Marvin DeJear, Sr., Minneapolis, MN, Dwight DeJear, Oklahoma City OK, and Kenneth DeJear, Tulsa, OK; his sister, Helen DeJear, Tulsa, OK; along with a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 4, 2001 at 11:00 am, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okmulgee. Father Bryan Brooks will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Beggs City Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee, OK.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 3, 2001 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the funeral home. A prayer vigil will be held on Sunday beginning at 6:00 pm at Uganda Martyrs Church.
