William W. Diehl, 76, 1311 E. McLeod, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Houchin, Stephen Diehl and Dr. Douglas Diehl officiating.

Burial is to follow in South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Diehl was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Tulsa and was a Sapulpa resident since 1946. He was a retired office manager for Tulsa Truck Rental, a member of the First Baptist Church and a deacon for the church. He was a Sunday school teacher and director of the Adult 2 department. He was an army veteran of WW II and a member of the Gideon Society and the American Legion. Survivors include wife Daphne of the home; sons Rev. Stephen Diehl of Vandalia, Ill., Lt. Kevin Diehl of Sapulpa and Dr. Douglas Diehl of San Antonio, Texas; brother Maurice Diehl of Kansas City, Kan.; and sister Margaret Herdman of Piper, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral service time for William W. Diehl has been changed to 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. David Houchin, Dr. Douglas Diehl and Rev. Stephen Diehl will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers are; Paul Bavousette, Roy Baxter, Jack Hall, Charlie Robertson, C.C. Roberts and Curtis Wilhelm. Honorary bearers will be the deacons of the First Baptist Church. Diehl, a Sapulpa resident since 1946, died Thursday.
