NORMAN DOANE

Norman Doane, 62, 11420 W. 86th, died Monday at Saint Francis Hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Cottonwood Falls, Kans., and was a Sapulpa resident since 1956. He was retired rural mail carrier and operated his own welding business. Mr. Doane was a member and past president of the Sapulpa Sertoma Club and Green Country Sertoma Club, past Worshipful Master of the Sapulpa Masonic Lodge, board member of Creek County Youth Services, member of Sapulpa Rural Water Co., past president of the Sapulp Square Dance Club and a member of the Sapulpa Genealogical Society. He was also a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include wife, Johnese; mother Winifred Doane of El Dorado, Kans.; son Shann Doane of Sand Springs; sister Carol Moore of Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Norman Lee Doane will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Kenneth D. Lovell officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Morris Pearce, Leon Pritchard, Dave, Johnson, Russell Wright, Gene Pierce and Robert McGuire.
