REV. COY DONAKEY was born Feb 29, 1932 in Vian, OK to Edgar and Martha Elizabeth (Echols) Donakey, married Peggy Wilson on July 11, 1949 in Muskogee, and died Nov 14, 2002 at the St. John's Continuous Care Center of Sapulpa. Services were Nov 16 at the Merritt Chapel followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home of Eufaula.

Survivors include his wife of the home in Eufaula; a son, Rev Joe Donakey and wife Cheryl of Baton Ruge, LA; a daughter, Barbara and Terry Cox of Smithville, MO; a sister, Jewel Blair of Eufaula; three sisters-in-law, Wanda and UJ West, Nita Skierski and Kay and Don Tilley; seven grandchildren, Miranda Joy Donakey, Christine Marie Donakey, Jeff Cox, Jenny Cox and Tim Cox, Ben Donakey, Andy Donakey ;and a great-grandchild, Noah Donakey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Coy Lynn Donakey, Jr. on March 4, 2002; three brothers and a sister.
