Updated: 06 Sep 2009 DOUDICAN, Louise Louise Meredith Doudican, 85, of Emporia, KS, died Thursday at Holiday Resort Nursing Home in Emporia. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday, at Cottonwood Cemetery with Rev. J. Gordon Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. She was born Jan 18, 1908, in Sapulpa to Mr. and Mrs. Huber C. Hughes. Her father was a well-known early Sapulpa businessman. She married Robert B. Doudican, also of Sapulpa, and they resided in Sapulpa until 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, an infant son, her parents, a sister and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include sons, Robert H. of Emporia and David Michael of Tulsa; daughter, Lou Carol Stevens of Riverside, CA; sister, Hilma Morris of Edmond; brother, Huber C. Hughes Jr., of Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. |
