BILL DOVERS

Millard Fillmore (Bill) Dovers, 69, 732 W. Teel Rd., died Wednesday at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at the South Heights Assembly of god with the Rev. Gary Theissen officiating.

Burial will follow in Osage Cemetery, Osage, under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be Walter Lee Dovers, Darrell Byrom, Phillip Stanley, Kevin Stanley, David Stanley and Joel Winans.

Honorary casketbearers will be Daniel Byrom and Chris Dovers.

He was born Nov 20, 1922, in Jerusalem, Ark., and married Geraldine Carter on Feb. 23, 1946, in Perry, Ark. He moved to Sapulpa five years ago from Tulsa. Mr. Dovers was a self-employed roofing contractor until his retirement. He was a member of the South Heights Assembly of God and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include wife Gerri; son Millard F. Dovers Jr. of Tulsa; daughter Robbie Troxell of Tulsa, Karen Winans of Mannford, Phyllis Pratt of Sand Springs, Cheryl Thompson and Tammy Butler, both of Sapulpa; brothers Wilburn Dovers of Little Rock, Ark., A. Z. Dovers of Traskwood, Ark., and Arty Dovers of Oklahoma City; sisters Etheal Miller and Athanlene Shields, both of Wynn, Ark; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

At the family’s request, visitation will be until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The family will headquarter at 1225 S. Adams the day of the service.

BILL DOVERS

Mr. Dovers, a Sapulpa resident for the past five years, died Wednesday at his home.
