HOWARD LEE DURYEA

SPARKS, Nev. — Howard Lee Duryea, 54, Sapulpa, died Thursday at Sparks Family Hospital, Sparks, Nev.

Services are set for 2:30 pm Thursday at Cherryvale Christian Church, Cherryvale, Kan., under the direction of Potts Chapel, Independence, Kan.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, with Gregg Hope officiating.

He was born Dec 20, 1934, in rural Independence. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Ben Duryea. He attended elementary school in Montgomery County, Kan., Cherryvale High School and Independence Junior College in Independence.

Mr. Duryea worked for Reda Pump co., in Bartlesville, Santa Fe Railroad in Bartlesville, Lee Way Motor Freight Co., in Tulsa and Missouri-Nebraska Express co., in Independence.

He married Virginia Lee Graham on April 13, 1984, in Tulsa.

Survivors include wife Virginia of the home; mother Ruth Duryea, Cherryvale; sons Harold of Cleveland, Okla., and James of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter Nancey Greening of Norman, Okla.; step-sons Terry DeGraffenreid of Olatha, Kan., and Bob DeGraffenreid of Tulsa; two grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
