Howard L. Eden, 86, Sapulpa, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday at the First United Methodist
XChurch with the Rev. Don Price officiating.
Burial is to follow in the Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Eden was born December 20, 1907 in Bristow. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was one of the first Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, and from 1939 to 1943, was the driver and guard for Gov. Leon C. "Red" Phillips. Howard worked for Radio Inc. in Tulsa for 32 years. He was a member of the Sapulpa Historical Society.
Survivors include stepson Jim Payne of Tulsa, two step-grandchildren and two great-step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Howard L. Eden were held at 2 pm today in the First United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial followed in the Bristow Cemetery,
Bristow.
Casket bearers were Cecil Knight, Greg Pubmire, George Key and Ten Fisher. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
