Charles Ralph Edmisten, 60, of Kellyville, died Wednesday at his home.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday in the New Kellyville High School gym with the Revs. Gary Staiger and David Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Edmisten was born in Pomona, Calif, on Sep 14, 1931, and moved to the Kellyville area at age eight, living there the rest of his life. He married Nova Haile on Oct 6, 1952, in Tulsa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a longtime member of the Creek County Sheriff’s Auxiliary.

He was preceded in death by brother James Lawrence Edmisten.

Survivors include wife Nova, sons Grandy Nathan Edmisten and charles Eugene Edmisten, both of Kellyville; daughters Diana Gail Lee and Debra Lynn Taylor, both of Kellyville; sisters Barbara Chelf and Sarah Melton, both of Kellyville; and eight grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the family home in Kellyville.

Casketbearers will be Vernon Chissom, Steve Vernon, Charlie Battenfield, Tom Holcomb, Dwight Davidson and Steve White.

Honorary bearers will be Calvin Stokes, Burney Felton, Robert Lucas, Dixon Cartwright, Jim Bocock and Jim Allen.

The family requests those bringing food for the meal Saturday to take it to the School Cafeteria. The Family will eat there instead.
