MRS. EDMONDSON TAKEN BY DEATH

Mother of Mrs. Ed Brodie Died Yesterday; Rites Tomorrow P.M.

Mrs. Sarah Edmondson, age 80 years, mother of Mrs. E. F. Brodie, died about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the city hospital as the result of a broken hip received about two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church, of which she was a member, at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon with Dr. P. J. Cronkwright, the pastor, in charge. 

Friday morning the body will be shipped to Sebree, Ky. where another service will be held Sunday afternoon with burial beside her husband who died in May, 1935. Lewis and Landrith have charge of the arrangements.

Besides the daughter, Mrs. Brodie she is survived by one sister in Beaer Dam Ky. A daughter, Mable, died in 1900.

Mrs. Edmondson came here with her husband in 1928. She was born in Kentucky and married W. C. Edmondson there in 1877, where they continued to live until coming to Sapulpa.

Mrs. Brodie and Mrs. W. H. Sawyer will accompany the body to its last resting place.

Pall bearers at the funeral will be Nathan Gass and J. W. Dunn, both of Tulsa. Howard Gilliam, Carnell Heidinger, W. H. Sawyer and John W. Young.

The Sapulpa public library will be closed from 3 to 4 the funeral hour, in respect to Mrs. Brodie who has been the only secretary the library board has ever had.
