MRS. EGAN, EARLY DAY RESIDENT OF SAPULPA, IS DEAD

Widow of Late John F. Egan Dies Early Today; Rites Tomorrow.

Mrs. Matilda Egan, widow of the late John F. Egan of this city, died this morning at 3 o’clock at her home at 113 West Lincoln street.

Mrs. Egan died of a gall bladder ailment and had been in declining bealth for some time. She was 73 years old.

She came to Sapulpa with her husband in 1894 and was active in Pioneering and civic movements in this city. Egan died several years ago.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lucille McKeever of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Jack Smith of Tulsa, and by one son, John Sterl Egan of Clinton, Okla.

Mrs. Egan was born Matilda DeCramer, April 28, 1865 at Oshkosh, Wis. She was married to the Late John F. Egan on May 19, 1884.

Mrs. Smith was at the bedside of her mother. Mrs. McKeever will be unable to attend the rites as she is in the hospital in Washington, D. C. and Sterl arrived here today.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock at the Catholic church with Rev. James W. Rooney officiating. Arrangements are under the supervision of Buffington funeral home. Burial will be made in South Heights.

Pall Bearers for the services will be Harry Dyer and Clarence Warren of Tulsa, Dan Odell, Don Lewis, Harry Croston and Ted Olson.
