Louis "Sonny" Bond Egbert, 83, 609 S. Independence, died Thursday, Aug 18, 1994, in his home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday at Bixby Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Oldham officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Egbert was born Feb 15, 1911 in Lawrenceburg, Ky. to John and Harriet Hinkle Egbert. He was married in 1950 to Velma Bell in Springdale, Ark. and served in the Merchant Marines.

A resident of Sapulpa since 1962, Egbert was a self-employed businessman, an avid card player and sportsman. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include wife Velma Egbert of the home; son Bill Egbert of Bozrah, Conn.; daughter Shirley Getter of Bixby, Lynda Wilson of Kansas City, Mo., and Bonevie Kelin of Sapulpa; brother John H. Egbert of Tulsa; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 609 S. Independence in Sapulpa. Visitation will be till 9 pm Thursday and Friday.
