Frankie Lee Rousseau Engebretsen, 82, longtime Okmulgee resident, died May 30, 2001 in Biloxi, Miss. She was born Sept. 28, 1918 at Kiefer, Okla., to Layton A. and Iva L. Starkey.
She was a homemaker and active in home extension and the Senior Citizens Nutrition Center. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and a volunteer at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyod Thompson, her second husband George Rousseau and her third husband Edwin Engebretsen.
Survivors include a son, William and wife Emmagene Thompson of Shelby, Miss., a daughter Geneva and husband George Piersall of Tulsa, daughter, Kam and husband Dale Wygant of Kennerdell, Pa., a son Dan and wife Sue Thompson of Eufaula, a daughter, Joan and husband Eddie McGuire of Biloxi, Miss., and a daughter, Gail Thompson of Wichita Falls, Texas; 15 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Albert Starkey of Okmulgee and James Starkey of Wichita, Kan.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 4 at 2 p.m, at the First Christian Church in Okmulgee with Minister O. Edmund Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Okemah under direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
