Albert A. "Sarge" England died Monday, March 4, 2002, at The Gardens at the age of 79.
Albert was born on Sept. 1, 1922 in Carey, Ohio to Clyde and Bessie Greno England.
He had retired from Bosco as a warehouse supervisor. He worked for the City of Tulsa as a bus driver and for M.K.&O. He also worked for Econoltherm in Tulsa.
He was retired from the U.S. Army. He served during World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mildred, in 1985; his second wife, Anita JoAnn, in 1999; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Cruzan; and 16 brothers and sisters.
Survivors are his children, Jimmy Wayne England and his wife, Debi, of Houston, Texas, Terry Smith and his wife, Patricia, of Tulsa, Steve Robinson and his wife, Sue, of Sapulpa, Barbara Burden and her husband, Tommy, of Sapulpa and Charles Robinson and his wife, Pam, of Shawnee; eight grandchildren, Tobi Russell, John England, Clay Smith and his wife, Tricia, Sky Smith, Bridgett Robinson, Keli Miller, Courtney LaRue and Shelil Burden; three great-grandchildren, Sara England, Dagan Miller and Garrett Miller; and one sister, Lois Ann Statts of Sycamore, Ohio.
Funeral services for Sarge have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002, in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa with the Rev. Gary Nickerson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
