Rev. Ethridge Dies At 63
Rev. Joseph H. Ethridge, 63, died of an apparent heart attack Wednesday night at his home, 208 W. Burnham.
He was born Dec. 30, 1906 at Aurora, MO., and was an army veteran of World War II. He was a Pentecostal Holiness preacher and moved here in 1961 from Paramount, Calif. Previously he had lived here many years.
Survivors are four sons, Gilbert of Oakhurst; Nathan, 309 S. Maple; William of the home; Joseph of Tulsa; two daughters, Sybil Cunningham, Tulsa and Cora Ann Covey of the home; 23 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Rodney, Dollie Hawkins, both of Webb City, Mo., and a brother, Clarence Ethridge, Portland, Ore.
Funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pentecostal Holiness church, 501 S. Park with Bro. Bob Settle officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
