RICHARD EVANS

CUSHING — Richard Evans, 59, of Cushing died March 24 at Cushing Regional Hospital.

Services were Wednesday at First Assembly of God, Cushing, with the Revs. David Plank, Bill Allton Jr. and Mark Evans officiating.

Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, with military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1118.

Casket bearers were Harry Sneed Jr., Mike Morris, Dean Stump, Charles Griffith, J. D. Hargrove and Allen Gould.

Survivors include wife Stella; parents Mr. and Mrs. William Evans of Cushing; sons Richard and Mickey, both of Cushing, and Mark of Hartshome, Okla.; daughter Julie Kennedy of Cushing; brothers Billy and Jackie both of Cushing; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Evans was born and raised in Cushing, graduated from Cushing High School in 1948 and Married Stella Hooper on June 10, 1950. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and served several years in Oklahoma National Guard.

He was a member of the VFW Post in Cushing.

Mr. Evans had been employed as a heating and cooling specialist and as a plumber. He had worked for Hominy Correctional Facility since 1985.

He also worked 28 years with the little league baseball organization in Cushing, served as president of the Full Gospel Men's Fellowship and attended the Living Word Church in Cushing.
