Sarah Fife Is Taken By Death

Mrs. Sarah Fife, 79 year old full blood Creek Indian, wife of Timmie Fife and daughter of "Old Man" Sapulpa, died about 9:15 o'clock this morning at her home, 811 South Grove from a complication of diseases.

She was also a sister to the late James Sapulpa.

Mrs. Fife was the only remaining relative of the old pioneer W. A. Sapulpa family. Sapulpa was a half-brother to her.

Funeral services will be held at the Rock Creek Indian Church, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Maxie Simms, preacher in charge. Services and burial will follow the Creek Indian custom.

Burial will be in the Sapulpa Cemetery.

Surviving relatives include the 90 year old husband; and two sons, Dawes Fife, and Henry Hays; one brother William Sapulpa of Morris and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Fife was active in the affairs of her church and was a member of Cussetah town. She was born here when it was Indian Territory and lived here all her life.

The Buffington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
