PAULS VALLEY—The Rev. J. C. Fowler, 75, Pauls Valley, died Friday.

Funeral services are set for noon Tuesday at the Stufflebean Funeral Chapel in Pauls Valley with the Revs. Allen Richardson, Clay Shannon and Tom Ison officiating.

Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko.

He was born Oct 26, 1914, in Texas and was an ordained minister at the age of 17.

Rev. Fowler pastored the Ridgeway Baptist Church in Sapulpa, the Firs Baptist church of Cyril, the First Baptist Church of Tonkawa, the Joy Baptist Mission in Wynnewood, the Baptist mission in Wichita, Kan., and the Nellie Baptist Church and the Liberty Baptist Church, both near Duncan.

He attended Cameron State University, Oklahoma Baptist University, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Wichita State University and the Southwest Baptist Seminary.

Rev. Fowler taught at Mounds High School, Pauls Valley High School, Wichita, the university of Oklahoma and the seminary extension of Sapulpa.

He was preceded in death by wife Aliene in 1983.

Survivors include son Robert Fowler of Sapulpa; daughter Carla McCann of Texas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
