Claude W. Gee Jr., 65, a long-time resident of Taft, passed away on April 18, 2003. He was born January 3, 1938 in Kellyville, OK. Later moved to California. Claude Gee worked 48 years for oil industries such as Tenneco Oil and Cullivan Pumping Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending holidays with family. He attended Taft Church of God where he enjoyed hearing his wife sing.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marlene Gee of Taft. Three brothers and sister-in-laws, Jerry and Mary, Richard and Jane, all of Taft. Jack and Susan of Bakersfield. One sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Steve Putman of Taft. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Six step-children and spouses. Tom and Linda Stockton, Theresa VanWinkle, Don and Sharon Saffell, Gerald Stockton, Kerry and Kim Graham all of Taft, Lyle and Teresa Stockton of Bakersfield. Two grandchildren, Matt and Stephanie Doyle of Taft. 21 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Claude W. Gee Sr. and Bernice I. Gee of Taft, sister Claudia Kelly of Kellyville, OK. Daughter Deanna Doyle of Taft and step-grandson Wesley R. Stockton of Taft.
Services will be held Friday [April 25] 1:00 p.m., at Erickson and Brown Funeral Home in Taft. Viewing will be Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
