Lewis Peyton Gibson, Sr., 90 Kellyville, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1995
at Ranch Terrace Nursing Center.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kellyville United Methodist Church
with the Rev. Donald Barefoot officiating. Burial will be in Kellyville
City Cemetery, directed by Owen Funeral Home.
He was born in Donophan, Mo. on Aug. 5, 1905 to Williamson and Arra
Johnstone Gibson.
He married Thelma Warren on April 21, 1927 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
They moved to Kellyville in 1929 from Depew. He was an oil field worker
and later became plant manager for Creek County rural water district.
Survivors include a son, Lewis P. Gibson, Jr., Kellyville; a daughter,
Helen Gee, St. John, Kans., two sisters, Bessie Gott, Kellyville, and
Corenne Nutter, Seminole; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren,
plus nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers will be Dwight Davidson, Ricky Davidson, Lewis Gibson
III, Eugene Gibson, Darrel Gee, Ryan Davidson, Craig Davidson, Andrew
Call and Mark Staiger.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma in 1989 and a daughter
Glendola Davidson in 1991.
The family will headquarter at the Gibson home, 602 E. Buffalo, Kellyville.

KELLYVILLE — Mrs. Lewis (Thelma May) Gibson, 81, Kellyville, died Saturday at
Bartlett Memorial Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church,
Kellyville, with the Rev. Don Barefoot officiating.
Burial will be at Kellyville Cemetery
under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.
She was born July 8, 1906, in Berryville, Ark. She married Lewis Gibson on April
21, 1927, in Santa Fe, NM.
The moved to Kellyville from Colorado in 1931.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Kellyville First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include husband Lewis; son Lewis Jr. of Kellyville; daughters Helen
Gee of St. John, Kan., and Glendola Davidson of Kellyville; brothers Wayne
Warren of Elsinore, Calif., Harold Warren of Eden, Idaho and Paul Warren of
Hansen, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
