MOUNDS - Vivian P. Gilbert, 93, of mounds died today at 4 Saddle Rock Road, Sand Springs.

Services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at Mounds First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Dodd officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casketbearers include Ed Smith, Dave Cowan, Bill Cumby, Bill Byard, Eddie Don Green and Jerry Baird.

She was born Sep 16, 1895, in Coal Hill, AR. She moved to Mounds from Wann, Okla., in 1942.

Mrs. Gilbert was a homemaker. 

She was a member of the Mounds First Baptist Church, the Mounds Garden Club, the Women’s Missionary Union and the Thimblebees of Mounds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T. E., in 1975.

Survivors include sons Tom of Sand Springs and Harold of Mounds; daughter Edwina of Bartlesville; and two grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at Harold Gilbert’s home, 1209 Dorman, Mounds.
