James William (Pappy) Gilreath, 80, a resident of Slick, Oklahoma died June 11, 1991 in the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee. He was born April 5, 1911 in Depew, Oklahoma.

He was a retired iron worker from Slick, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by one son, L.S. Gilreath.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; four sons, James Gilreath, Watonga, Oklahoma; Tom Gilreath, Saden, Kansas; Willie Gilreath, Slick, Oklahoma; Dallas Gilreath, Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Diana Cunningham, Carson, Kansas; two step-daughters, Lora McKinney, Cushing, Oklahoma; Betty O'Nolan, Kileen, Texas; two brothers, Carmen Gilreath, Skytook (sic), Oklahoma; Frank Gilreath, Bristow, Oklahoma; and a number of grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, 1991 at Beggs Cemetery with Rev. Shawn Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Beggs Cemetery under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home
