Ora GLOVER

Funeral services for Maud resident Ora Alice (HOOPER) GLOVER, 65, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud.

Rev. Carl WHITFIELD will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Cumming Cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.

Glover died at her winter home in Ocean Springs, Miss.

She was born Dec. 1, 1933 in Sapulpa to Farris Derward and Juanita Catherine (SLAYBAUGH) HOPPER.

Glover had lived in Maud since 1966, when she moved from Burkburnett, Texas.

She worked for GOSS Dry Goods in Maud for several years before working at Carlton's IGA in Seminole.

In March of 1973, she began working at the Citizens State Bank of Maud and continued working for The Bank, N.A. until Sept. 1988.

Glover was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #2501 in Ocean Springs, and the Maud Historical Society.

She married Bobby Ray GLOVER on July 3, 1950 in DeQueen, Ark. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1992.

Glover was also preceded in death by her father, in 1964; one brother, Raymond HOPPER, in 1956; and one great-grandson, Eric ROBERTS, on May 31, 1995.

Survivors include her mother, on Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Herb and Barbara GLOVER, Ocean Springs; seven grandchildren, Cam GLOVER THORNE, Joanny Ray GLOVER, Sandy GLOVER and Shelly GLOVER SPIERS, all of Ocean Springs, Dawnda RENFRO ROBERTS, Fort Polk, La., Toby Wade and Dillion Ray RENFRO, both of Maud; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew THORNE, Ocean Springs, Kayla and Tori ROBERTS, Fot Polk, La.

Other survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Mary HOPPER, Maud, Charles and Shirley HOPPER, Maud, Joe and Julie HOPPER, Pleasant Grove, Wilford and Alma Ruth HOPPER, Pink, and John and Doris HOPPER, Maud; and one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Ted PHILLIPS, Maud; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family as well as a number of friends in Ocean Springs and Maud.
