J. D. Goodman Sr., 83, Dies

Joshua David (J. D.) Goodman, Sr., 83, of 417 S. Hickory, died Wednesday night at Bartlett Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer.

He was born August 6, 1893, in Ava, Mo., and farmed in the Kellyville area from 1923 until moving to Sapulpa in 1954. He had lived here since that time. He was a member of Sapulpa's First Assembly of God church.

Survivors are his widow Dovie of the home; two sons, Walter W. Goodman of 229 E. Ross, Sapulpa, a J. D. Goodman Jr. of Kellyville; two step-sons, Thomas Withrow of Tahlequah and Jimmy Withrow, and a step daughter, Mrs. Mary Ranson both of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Silas Armstrong of Crowder, Okla.

Arrangements were pending with Owen Funeral Home.

The family will headquarter at 417 S. Hickory.
