KIEFER - Mr. C. J. (Jack) Gosney, 75, Kiefer, died today at his home.

Services will be 11 am Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 28, 1913, in Cushing, Okla., and lived in Kiefer most of his life.

Mr. Gosney was employed by Gulf Oil Company for 40 years as a pumper and lease operator. He retired as fire chief for the Kiefer Volunteer Fire Department, was a former Kiefer mayor, and Creek County Deputy Sheriff.

Survivors include wife Lucille; son Harley J. of Broken Arrow; daughters Charlotte Lynn Bilby of Perryton, Texas, and Debby Sue of Yukon, Okla.; step-sons Larry Anglin Jr., and Michael Anglin of Sapulpa; sisters Hilda Fitzpatrick, June Thomas, and Betty Thompson, all of Tulsa; Brother John of Yukon; and six grandchildren.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kiefer, the auxiliary police, school board, civil defense, and Lions Club.
