KIEFER - Mr. James E. Gosney, 77, of Kiefer died Sunday in Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Archie Rivers officiating.

Burial will be at South Heights Cemetery.

Mr. Gosney was born March 20, 1911, in Avant, Okla. He was a flight instructor at Stillwater and the Brown Airport in Tulsa, before he retired.

For the last several years, Mr. Gosney had worked at the Sooner Tire Co. He moved to Kiefer 16 years ago and was a Baptist.

Survivors include, son Jim of Sapulpa; Daughter Sharon Thompson of Kiefer; brothers Jack of Sapulpa and John of Yukon; sisters Hilda Fitzpatrick of Sapulpa, June Thomas and Betty Thompson, both of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
